Weekly meetings with Huston McComb were used to discuss and apply the rule/guidelines of having an LPC license. Huston was very thorough and went the extra distance to have me prepared for being an LPC. He used various scenarios and role play to bring ethics to the forefront of my practice as a therapist. 

​Huston was flexible with his time but was firm in meeting on a regular basis. What was even more beneficial was being able to sit in on counseling sessions to see and experience counseling firsthand. These experiences were critical to my development of a theoretical framework and niche that matched my life experiences and passion. 

​Without a doubt, my LPC internship with Huston McComb was vital to my professional career and development as an LPC.

Huston is a counselor and supervisor with many years of extensive training and experience in the field. Huston's supervision was instrumental throughout my time as an LPC-Associate as I was seeking counseling experience, training, and guidance while working to obtain my full licensure. 

​Huston was there to not only offer supervision to assist with navigating through challenging cases, but he also cultivated an environment for support, encouragement, and a safe space to learn and grow in the counseling profession. My experience with having Huston as a mentor and supervisor has greatly impacted and shaped my own approach as a counselor. He was with me every step of the way, and I still consult with Huston even now.

Huston provided excellent feedback and guidance during our supervisions. He has a wide breadth of knowledge and years of experience working with a number of different clients so I was always pointed in the right direction. He also challenged me in my own abilities so I did not become stagnant in my growth as a counselor. Even now I continue to consult with Huston and rely on his wisdom and encouragement. 

Huston McComb is very thorough in the supervision process, providing many teachable moments for growth in the field. He invests in the development of associates to give a detailed understanding of counseling concepts and tools. I received exposure working with a variety of clients under his supervision.

I have been supervised by Huston since I was a practicum student. Not only does he provide a high level of perspective with clients, but he strongly desires you as a student or associate to succeed in the counseling process. He prepares you for being fully licensed and really makes it a point to be available whenever you need help with a case, not just in a supervision session. I would highly recommend Huston to be a LPC Supervisor to anyone interested in really having someone on their team that desire them to have success in the counseling world
