Education and Background
Huston's experience began in 1995 at the Missouri Baptist Children's Home where his responsibilities were to counsel the teenage girls who resided there. His Missouri practice included counseling individuals, couples, and families for his church and the local Baptist Association.
In 1999, Huston moved to Houston, TX where he began working with the Union Baptist Association Center for Counseling. He continued counseling individuals, couples, and families. It was there that Huston began his work in the area of sexual addiction counseling.

In 2000, Huston began working at Sagemont Church's Counseling Center. He began his first sexual addiction support group and where he continued counseling until 2009. He appeared in a three-segment series taped by the church that focused on sexual addiction, being interviewed alongside a client and the supervisor of the Center.

In 2009, Huston transferred his practice to the Juliana Poor Memorial Counseling Center at Houston's First Baptist Church. He was employed as a Counseling Ministry Associate. He was promoted to Associate Minister of Counselor Education and Outreach. While continuing his counseling, he also began supervising practicum students and interns while managing the satellite counseling offices and coordinating the education of the counselors at the Center.

In 2017, he incorporated Judah Christian Counseling & Recovery, PLLC (JCCR) which opened offices in 2018 and in 2019 Huston moved to full-time counseling at the office. He continues to work in his area of passion, supervising counselor interns and working in the areas of trauma and addiction with individuals, couples, and families.

Huston has been married for thirty plus years. His wife is a local librarian at a middle school where they live. He has two grown children: a daughter who recently earned her Master's in social work who is also recently married, and a son who has a passion for the environment and works for a worldwide corporation in that field.
