Counselor Fees
Fees are determined by counselor's licence status and type of service offered:

LPC
(Insurance Rate)
$195 per individual session with a fully licensed counselor.
LPC
(Self-Pay)
$175 per session with a fully licensed counselor.
Includes a $20.00 discount
LPC - Associate
(Self-Pay)
$145 per session with an associate.
Includes a $50.00 discount
Counseling Practicum Student
(Self-Pay)
$75 per session with a practicum student.
Includes a $120.00 discount
Couple Intensive
Contact the counseling office for intensive fees and counselor availability.
Couple Intensives are prolonged couple sessions. Each Intensive's fee and length of time varies according to the need of the couple.
Insurance Networks
Two of our counselors, Melissa Anderson and Marcus Curry, are contracted to accept insurance from Aetna (marketplace), Optum (marketplace), Cigna, BCBS, and Tricare. More of our counselors are working to be contracted to accept insurance. We are also in the process to accept Magellan-marketplace plan.
Insurance may cover a portion of your counseling services. We are willing to check with your insurance company before your first appointment to verify benefits and coverage. Judah Christian Counseling & Recovery will attempt to be reimbursed from your insurance company. In the event there are extenuating circumstances and insurance does not pay for your session(s), you are responsible for your account balance.
Most insurance carriers do not cover couples, premarital, or marital therapy. Contact your provider to see what your mental health benefits are and what they pay for an out-of-network provider.
If you choose a counselor who is out of network, upon request we will provide insurance billing which will include a diagnosis to submit to your insurance company as a service to you.
Cancellations
Please let us know as soon as possible if you discover that you will not be able to keep an appointment. No fee will be charged if you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments will be charged the set fee for any appointment canceled with less than 24 hour notice, as the time and space have been reserved for you. Exceptions will be given for emergencies. You will not be charged for appointments during your therapist's absence.

Testifying in Court
It is our desire to provide you with the best care in attaining your goals. If your intention for counseling is only to aid in a court case, we ask that you choose an alternative resource. Court cases take up additional time and resources that we can use to help serve others.
For any subpoena that requires the counselor to make an in-person statement or be physically present for any legal proceeding:

Preparation time (including submission of records): $200/hour

Phone calls: $200/hour

Depositions: $500/hour

Time required in giving testimony: $500/hour

Mileage: The current mileage rate set by IRS

Time away from office due to depositions or testimony: $250/hour

All attorney fees and costs incurred by the therapist because of the legal action.

Filing a document with the court: $100

The minimum charge for a court appearance: $5,000

A retainer of $2,500 is to be paid at least 48hrs prior to the court date. If the costs for the testifying process exceed the amount of the retainer, then those fees will be billed to the client and/or their legal representative.
For any subpoena of client records, files, or the production of any other written statements:

Preparation time for treatment summaries or production of other new documentation: $120-180/hour (JJCR's standard rate for clinical services per hour)

Printing costs: $25 for the first 20 pages and $0.50 per page thereafter
All legal fees are due upon receipt of the invoice.
